Personality as Seen in Handwriting
Graphology is the study of personality from handwriting. Its roots go back to the early 1800s when French monks started investigating personality
characteristics from handwriting. It is popularly used in Europe, USA and Canada and increasingly in India for employment screening.
I have a degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Mancheste r and taught GCSE and A level Sociology for over 20 years in Hull, Exeter
and Cambridge (my last position was teaching Sociology at Long Road Sixth Form College) until retirement in 2010.
My hobby with graphology started in 1996 when we first moved to Cambridge from Devon. I studied with the International Graphology Association and
qualified in 1998. I became their senior tutor and then in 2006 I set up The Cambridge School of Graphology (www.csog.org) which offers three
distance learning courses in graphology.
I have also trained as a forensic graphologist and am able to take on cases from private individuals and solicitors to authenticate authorship of
handwriting on a document, primarily related to the forgery of wills and legal documents. I have also worked on cases relating to anonymous letters
and hate mail.
