Understanding 21st century innovation from Medieval Cathedral Builders.
When it comes to innovation were medieval people smarter than us today?

Every generation creates new technology and subsequently innovates.
Medieval masons were perhaps more innovative than today’s workforce as their approach often incorporated anticipated technology into their designs.

Joseph DiVanna has for over 30 years studied medieval masons’ methods of construction to gain insight to business in the 21st century. Using the construction of Kings’ College Chapel as an example of how we must unlearn modernity to better understand today’s innovation.

Joseph DiVanna is the managing director of Maris Strategies a research and advisory to banks, governments and industry.
Working in over 100 countries in 40 years is has made him a prolific author, and a feature writer for The Financial Times, The Banker and numerous financial publications.  Joe is also (amongst other institutions) associate of the Moller Institute Cambridge.

It’s sure to be a fascinating talk.
We look forward to welcoming members and their guests.
