A personal account of the RAF’s transformation from Cold War readiness to operations in Afghanistan.
Terry spent 32 years as a Royal Air Force officer, most of this as a Tornado pilot and instructor. He gained operational experience in Iraq, Oman and
Afghanistan. Terry left the RAF as an Air Commodore having been engaged in the higher management of defence with a particular focus on education
and training. In his last appointment, Terry was responsible for all aviation training and the Red Arrows.
A passionate advocate for education in all its forms, Terry is now the principal of Peterborough Regional College where he is responsible for 7000
students studying technical and professional qualifications from entry to degree level.
Cambridge Business and Professionals Club were delighted to welcme Terry as guest speaker for our October dinner where he gave a very interesting
talk based on his personal experiences of his time in the Royal Air Force.
